Joint Enrollment Students
Joint enrollment, also known as dual enrollment in Georgia, is an option for Atlanta-area high school students who want to take classes at Emory College (on the Atlanta campus) while also taking classes at their local high school. Students need to be going into their senior year of high school to participate.
Students can only take classes in the fall semester and are limited to one class per semester. The cost per class of joint enrollment is the same as for full-time, degree-seeking students.
The application for joint enrollment opens in early April. The deadline to apply is June 15 in the summer before your senior year. Joint enrollment applicants will be notified in mid-July if they’ve been admitted.
To apply for joint enrollment, students need to submit:
- Completed application and essay (available in early April)
- $75 application fee
- Official high school transcript
- One letter of recommendation from a high school teacher
- (Optional) Official or self-reported scores from SAT or ACT
