Applying Knowledge
Through research, internships, off-campus study, and innovative classes, our students deepen their learning.
Research

As a leading research university, Emory offers exceptional faculty, resources, and support for undergraduate students interested in digging deep into an area of study. Here, undergraduates—even motivated first-year students—can perform mentored research in all fields, including the humanities, arts, sciences, and social and behavioral studies. Explore undergraduate research opportunities through the Office of Undergraduate Research Programs.
Internships

Many students have an internship during their four years—often more than one. And you can work at an internship even starting in your first year. Regardless of your major or field of interest, you have a wide range of industries where you can work and gain experience in Atlanta, throughout the United States, and across the globe.
Gain Experience in Atlanta

Atlanta is the business and cultural center of the South, giving students wide opportunities for experience. Recently, students have interned with organizations as diverse and impressive as The Coca-Cola Company, the NBA Atlanta Hawks, CNN, the Carter Center, Deloitte, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Off-Campus Study
Study Abroad

International experience is an integral part of an Emory education, giving you a global perspective and preparation for tomorrow. You can participate in study, research, or service learning abroad, and you can go for a semester, summer, or year.
Students in all majors take advantage of the intellectual and personal growth gained from study abroad. Plus, you can take your financial aid and merit scholarships with you.
