First Impact
Make Your First Impact
We invite you to be a part of the First Year, First Impact campaign. When you enroll in the Emory University Class of 2029, we’ll give you $5 (of Emory money) to make your first impact in our community in a way that is meaningful to you.
With your first impact, you’ll join the Emory community in its work to change the way we live in the world.
Choose Your Cause
We have curated a list of causes that support Emory College and Oxford College students and their ambitions.
Food Security
For some Emory students, not knowing where their next nutritious meal will come from is a real challenge. Gifts to the Food Security Fund help fight food insecurity within the student community on both campuses, providing financial assistance for students to purchase their own food during breaks, while living off campus, or during remote learning.
Student Hardship
Gifts to the Student Hardship Fund provide financial assistance to students on both campuses who are in need due to an unexpected crisis or catastrophic event, such as flights home to attend to a family emergency. How these funds are used is overseen by a committee of current students with oversight from the Office of Financial Aid.
Oxford Organic Farm
Oxford Organic Farm, located at Oxford College, is a center for food production and education. Produce is used by campus and community members both in Oxford and Atlanta, including the Oxford dining hall, Emory farmer's market, and local food banks. The farm also offers students unique learning opportunities across many disciplines, from anthropology to economics to sustainability. Gifts to the Oxford Organic Farm Fund support new education initiatives and supply more produce to local community members in need.
The Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Life
Supporting students of all gender and sexual identities through activities that create an affirming and just campus, this fund sustains LGBT Life initiatives such as the Emory Safe Space program and provides financial support for programs such as the Queer and Trans People of Color community series.
