Emory University closes most academic and administrative offices for Winter Recess, the three days between the Christmas and New Year holidays. The Office of Undergraduate Admission will be closed from Dec. 22, 2023 to Jan. 1, 2024, reopening on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. Group Visits

If you have a group of students you would like to visit Emory, review the information outlined below to help you decide whether a group visit to our Atlanta or Oxford campus is right for you.

Group Visits on Atlanta Campus

Our Atlanta campus, home to 3 of our 4 undergraduate colleges: Emory College of Arts and Sciences, Goizueta Business School, and Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Please review the information below before requesting a group visit.

Group Visit Policies

  • Group visits are only available for groups of 10–75 high school students, in 9th through 12th grades. 
  • Requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance.
  • Submission of the group visit request form does not secure a visit. Please allow up to 7 business days for a response.
  • Only one group visit can be scheduled per day. Groups are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Wednesdays:

  • 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm - Information Session
  • 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm - Campus Tour

Thursdays:

  • 9:30 am - 10:00 am - Information Session

Group Visit Includes

Student Guided Walking Tour

The campus tour is a 60- to 75-minute walking tour led by a current student. All participants should have comfortable footwear and come prepared for the possibility of inclement weather. Tours occurs rain or shine.

Information Session

In addition to a campus tour, you can elect to have a 30-minute information session. During the school year, most sessions are led by current students. In the summer, these sessions are often led by admission staff. On the group visit request form, you will be asked to share what goals you have for your group's time at Emory, and then we will customize your information session to meet your goals.

Grades K-8

For groups with students in grades K-8, we offer a self-guided tour. This option does not require registration.

Group Visits on Oxford Campus

Our Oxford campus is home to Oxford College. Please review the information below before requesting a group visit.

Group Visit Policies

  • Group visits are only available for groups of 10 - 50 high school students, in 9th through 12th grades. We request groups bring one chaperone for every 10 students.
  • Requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance.
  • Submission of the group visit request form does not secure a visit. Please allow up to 7 business days for a response.
  • Only one group visit can be scheduled per day. Groups are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If your group does not fit within the guidelines listed, please contact us using the information provided above.

Group Visit Schedule

Group visits are not offered in August, December, April, early January, or during Emory's summer holiday, due to student exam schedules/breaks and high visitor volume on campus.

  • Oxford College hosts group visits on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00 am - 11:45 am. Visits include a student-led campus tour and information session with an Admission Advisor.
  • Fall Semester: September through end of November.
  • Spring Semester: Mid-January through the end of March.
  • Group visits are not offered on weekends, university closings/breaks, or national holidays.
  • Only one group visit can be scheduled per day.
